Do You Know How To Maintain A Boom Sprayer?

A boom sprayer is a hydraulic sprayer equipped with a horizontal or vertical boom. It is a machine used for spraying pesticides efficiently and with high quality in farmland. The following are the maintenance methods for a boom sprayer:

1. After each use, the liquid medicine should be drained, clean water should be added, and the boom sprayer should be started to clean and drain all the residual liquid in the system. This will not affect the next use and can prevent the parts from freezing and cracking in cold weather. It can also prevent the corrosion of the machine.

2. Remember to check and replace the lubricating oil in the pump regularly.

3. If the boom sprayer is not used for a long time, the valve core of the air chamber nozzle of the liquid pump should be opened to release the compressed air so that the air chamber diaphragm is in a non-air pressure state. Drain the old oil in the pump, clean the oil chamber and moving parts in the pump with kerosene or light diesel, and then fill it with new lubricating oil.

4. Remove the nozzle, clean it and keep it well. At the same time, seal the nozzle seat hole on the boom to prevent debris, sand and dust from entering.

5. Clean and dry the entire boom sprayer, lower the pump decompression handle, loosen the handwheel, and store the machine in a dry and ventilated hangar to avoid outdoor storage.
